Flintshire is the gateway to North Wales. It has coastline, woodlands and mountains. Mold, where our project is based, is a bustling market town with good road and bus links to major cities. Mold is famous for its contribution to Welsh culture and this continues today, with its theatre, Theatr Clwyd, having a national reputation. It is an area rich in history and well worth visiting in its own right.

With the numerous attractions of North Wales, and with Chester just eleven miles away, Mold is a popular tourist base. In addition, Flintshire has recently become a gateway to Ireland with ferries soon to operate out of Mostyn docks. We are less than an hour’s drive from Liverpool and Manchester, as well as popular seaside resorts of Rhyl, Prestatyn and beautiful Snowdonia.
